It is with deepest sympathy and regret, that we report the death of Firefighter Salvatore “Sam” Licata. Brother Licata died Wednesday September 8, 2010 form a service related cancer. Sam is survived by his wife and two children. He was a career long member of IAFF Local 73, a resilient Firefighter and good friend to many. Arrangements; Visitation will be held on Friday September 10, 2010 from 3:00pm-9:00pm at Hoffmeister Funeral home 6464 Chippewa St. at Watson Rd. in St. Louis. The Funeral will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church located at 5020 Rhodes in St. Louis on Saturday September 11, 2010 at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 6901 MacKenzie, at Watson Rd. Following the burial, a Luncheon will be held at the St Louis Firefighters Hall located at 4271 Delor Street St. Louis, MO, all are welcome.
